As always, great post Richard. I keep hoping that the world has learned its lesson about falling into the trap of fame mongers. How hard is it to be true to ourselves? Can’t we just be honest, open and transparent without having to be controversial, annoying and sensational?
I guess the same can be said for businesses that don’t want to be honest about the products they are pushing. It’s because their product usually sucks and they don’t have the decency to fix it.
Fame should be earned, not purchased, and should go to those deserving of the spotlight — not to those who happen to purchase their own spotlight to turn it on themselves.
